BODY: Azmi Bshara

A brand new Israeli blog in the neighborhood: Not a Fish by Imshin J . Her latest post is a very interesting one about Azmi Bshara, an Arab member of the Knesset (Israeli parliament). Bshara who constantly incites Israeli Arabs against the state of Israel, calls the Unilateral Separation plan: "Apartheid".

"I don't get this. Calling unilateral-separation - apartheid, is saying that the Palestinians don't really want to be separated from Israel. The Palestinians say they want a state." Writes Imshin J and which has some other good arguments as well.

Imshin J is not saying that but I will: Azmi Bshara is a dangerous man to Israel. He uses Israeli democracy against the state of Israel. He is walking on a thin line, Incites Israeli Arabs, Palestinians and Arabs in the surrounding states against Israel but keeps it blurry enough to get away. He is now facing charges in Israeli court after when visiting Syria he called to fight against Israel. But I'm sure he'll get away from punishment, the man is a wizard in using democratic measures such as the media and Israeli Justice to get what he wants.

An equivalent to Bshara visiting Syria (an enemy state) and calling there to fight Israel will be an American Senator visiting Iraq and calling to fight the US.

BODY: They want their children to die

If you thought the Gaza kindergarten graduation was appalling what do you say about this pic of a Palestinian toddler dressed as suicide bomber. What are the odds for this baby no to become a suicide bomber? Very slim in my opinion.

To those of you who wonder: The title on the baby's headband is "Al Kasam brigades" which are the military branch of the Hamas terror organization.

This picture was found by IDF soldiers in a Palestinian terrorist's house in the West Bank city of Hebron. Of course the Palestinians claim the photo is fake, but haven't we heard enough lies from the Palestinians already to know what their denials worth?

Update: The Palestinian family who photographed their baby dressed up as a suicide bomber has told Sky News it was "just a joke".

"The photograph was taken some time ago at a party when someone dressed up the cutest baby as a suicide bomber," one relative said to Sky's reporter.

It's a sick jock if it was a jock indeed. It doesn't matter actually if it was "just a joke" or not. The Palestinian kids are directed towards suicide bombings. There is no hope with those people and there will never be.

BODY: The Bush blah blah speech

I didn't post anything about the Bush speech because I didn't blog at all in the last 2-3 days. But even if I had the time to write - well I don't think there is anything to say about that speech. I can't remember how many of those "supposed to be historical" speeches I've heard.

In the current situation those nice polite speeches won't help. A firm action is needed. Don't ask me what kind of action I'm suggesting the US should make cause I don't have one to offer.

As I said before the only way I see to improve the situation for Israel (and I don't give a damn about the Palestinians) is unilateral separation.

BODY: soon there will be another one

I'm back after a short absence due to university exams. If I recall right its almost a week since the last terror attack (the one in Itamar). I wonder when will the next attack happen. I know (though it's not reported in the local media) that in the last 24 hours there is a major manhunt after a suicide bomber in the area of the Israeli city Rishon Lesion.

BODY: Stefan Sharkansky "Shark Blog" posted a Palestinian reply he received concerning the David White article. In his response the Palestinian, Israa Alkam from "Al Quds, Palestine" (he means: Jerusalem Israel) endorsers what David White writes.

"I dont want Jews to die, and most Palestinians dont either, we just want them to go back where they came from.
...
Take one look at the buildings of Tel Aviv and compare them to those of Jenen, its obvious to see who the victims are this time"

The Palestinians keep on blaming others for their own troubles. I want to assure Israa Alkam that the buildings in Tel Aviv are much nicer than buildings in all of Israel's neighbors (Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan). Instead of whining all the time Arabs should start doing things for themselves. They should ask themselves how Israel, with no natural resources, only human ones, has become a modern state, not like the third world Arab countries around her.

And another point. The major problem of the Palestinians is that they want it all, or nothing at all. As David White say: "GET REAL", compromise, that is what Israel is doing. Israa Alkam wants Israelis to go back to Europe - he is pathetic. We are leaving in the present towards the future not backwards to the past, stop whining all the time. I guess it's an Arab thing those reversing the time to. Ossama Bin "fuckin' delusional" Laden thinks he is the successor of Mohammad, he will beat the infidels and make them good Muslims. Come on!

Back to Israa Alkam's letter, Stefan provides a good reply Alkam: "The question is, what actions can you take that will lead to the most attractive outcome for you and your people? I think part of what David White was saying was that blowing yourselves up in Israeli supermarkets in order to make the Jews "go back to where they came from" is not likely to improve your situation. If you focus instead on allowing the Israelis to live in peace in their part of the land while you focus on building a civil society in your part of the land, you too can have buildings in Jenin that are at least as nice as those in Tel Aviv."

BODY: Get real

I know I'm a bit late with this one but you must read this article:

Speaking Truth to the Powerless:
An Open Letter To The People Commonly Called "Palestinians" / David White

The man is absolutely right. Here are the best parts of White's article. I recommend on reading the all piece.

"My perspective of Palestinians is something like this - you're Arabs (of course), mostly Muslim, but with a Christian minority. Many of you live outside Gaza/West Bank, mostly in Jordan and other Muslim countries, with some groups living in Western countries as well. You feel that you have been wronged by Israel and are fighting to destroy them.

As for my perspective on Israel, I see them like this. They are a mainly Jewish, small, free-market democracy with a large Arab minority surrounded by hostile Arab dictatorships. They have an ancestral claim to Israel, their state was created as a refuge from persecution, they have a right to exist, and, having survived a holocaust in Europe, they should not have to sit still and wait for another one in the Middle East.

Yasser Arafat turned down the Israeli offer of a Palestinian homeland in Gaza and the West Bank. You want, or Arafat claims that you want, a Palestine "from the river to the sea;" in other words, "all or nothing".

There is one insuperable obstacle to this- Israel. No matter how eloquent your arguments or numerous your martyrs, no matter how many European diplomats are angered by, or UN resolutions are passed against, Israel, the Israelis are not going to pack up and leave. The only way you will get the Palestinian state you want is to destroy Israel.

This is what you have been trying to do since 1948, and the current "intifada" launched in 2000 is your latest effort. However, the Israelis are not standing there and letting you kill them. They are fighting back, and if they have to choose between their own survival and yours, guess which choice they'll make.

Look closely at why Western countries such as Israel have succeeded, and Muslim countries have not. Western countries are free-market democracies. Muslim countries (other than Turkey) aren't. Surely that should tell you something.

Palestinians deserve better than the current mess you are in now - but before you can be given anything, you must offer a sincere peace, you must stop teaching your children to hate, you must stop believing that "victimhood" justifies everything and - above all other things - GIVE UP ISRAEL! Accept that you will never go there again except perhaps as workers or tourists. Accept that Jews are human beings. Accept the verdict of 1948 and learn to live with it.

Invest in banks, not bombs. Build computer chips, not Kalashnikovs. Teach science and mathematics, not hate. Look to the future, not the past. Stop blaming Americans and Jews for all your problems, and take responsibility for your own actions. Read those parts in the Quran about living with the "peoples of the Book".

Golda Meir, the former Israeli Prime minister, is quoted as saying " there will be peace in the Middle East only when the Arabs love their children more than they hate Israel ". Every time I see pictures of Palestinian children waving guns and wearing dummy explosives, then I can only say she is right. The alternative to peace is not victory but death.

David White, New Zealand

BODY: Palestinian education

The Palestinian child in the left pic is imitating the lynching of two Israeli reservists in the early days of the intifada. There is no mistake - the bloody hands of that girl the same like the hands of one of the Palestinian animals who lynched the Vadim Norzhich and Yosef Avrahami .

Maa'riv published the girl photo today. it was taken at a end of the year ceremony in an Islamic kindergarten in Gaza. The kids also burned Israeli flags, carried weapon - toys and cheered Hasan Nassrallah - Hizballa leader.

This is sickening.

Update: Here is a translation of the original article in Maa'riv (translated by Ester, via Tal G.):

CHILDREN OF HATE

This is how the graduation ceremony goes at the kindergartens of the "Islamic Charitable Association" in Gaza

By Jackie Hugi

Kindergartens in Gaza teach children Jihad against Israel, justification of the Ramallah lynching [in Oct 2000], admiration of the Hizbullah, and the continuation of the Intifada. The children receive these lessons in Israel-hatred at the independently-run education network of the "Islamic Charitable Association", which is responsible for the education of some 5000 children.

At the graduation ceremony of one of the most recent kindergarten classes, the children burned the Israeli flag and cried: "In the name of the Shahid (martyr) Mohammed al-dura and the Shahida, the infant Iman al-Haju, we promise to continue with the Jihad, the resistance and the Intifada". One of the girls raised her hands high, hands dipped in red paint, in the manner of one of the perpetrators of the Ramallah lynching, whose hands were covered in blood. One boy, dressed as the secretary-general of the Hizballah, Hassan Nasrallah, made a speech in which he said: "The Palestinians will not be alone in their battle against Zionism. Hizbullah is with them, always" - which earned him much applause. Children carried toy rifles, and some had Keffiyehs over their faces.

An internal document of the (Israeli) Government Operations Coordinator in the territories, which came out recently, analyzed the expressions of hostility in the Association's kindergartens. The document determines that the Islamic Association's network of kindergartens serves as a firm base to incite young children against Israel. The document warns that these kindergartens constitute for the Hamas the ideological basis for future suicide bombers.

The Association's website documents the ceremony of the 11th class to graduate these kindergartens. Participating at the ceremony, which took place at the Shati refugee camp on the Gaza coast, were 1650 children and thousands of adults.

The children were dressed in army fatigues. Around the podium where the ceremony took place hung flags of Hizballah and the Islamic Association, pictures of martyred children, and slogan. One of the latter cried: "The blood of the children and the martyred of Palestine will be a curse to haunt to Zionist criminals".

The ceremony started with the reading out loud of passages from the Koran by one of the children. Afterwards, a platoon of five-year-olds staged a military parade, armed with plastic rifles. Two of the children carried a model of the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. One of the marchers stopped and cried, "Do Sharon's tanks, missiles and mortars frighten you?". His friends answered in unison: "No, no". He continued: "The Zionist bombings do not frighten us. Our people will not bend". Later, the children burned the Israeli flag, and one child impersonated Hamas' leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.

The Islamic Association of Gaza is the largest charitable organization in the Gaza Strip of the religious stream. It was founded 26 years ago, and at its head is Sheikh Ahmed Bahar, a member of Hamas. It operates tens of kindergartens in Gaza, helps needy families and orphans, and supports poor students and martyrs' children. Additionally, the Association facilitates blood donations, operates a medical clinic for a nominal fee, and also a sports club, best known for its successful volleyball team.

The Association subsists upon donations and the nominal dues of its members.

Last year, their institutions were visited by representatives of a Swedish NGO and of an South African Islamic delegation. Non-profit organizations in Italy and the US donated computers and VCRs.

Sheikh Bahar said at the ceremony that he places the responisbilty on the shoulders of the Palestinian mothers to "Raise the children on the teachings of Islam, love of Jerusalem and Palestine, and love of Jihad and resistance"
