BODY: Weekend joke

Freely translated (hope I didn't kill it) from Ma’ariv satirical section. (It’s an old one but still funny)

Yossi Beilin: “It’s just
unacceptable that in every
suicide bombing there
is an Arab fatality”

BODY: Well done! Next please

Senior Hamas terrorist Ismail Abu Shanab was killed by Israel Air Force helicopters in Gaza in a pinpointed strike. Excellent target, brilliant excution – Looks like except Abu Shanab and his two bodygourds no else was hurt.

We need more strikes like this as fast as possible.

Hamas response by the way was: “The Hudna is over” – No shit! They thought they could butcher babies and kids and still call it a Hudna?

BODY: It's a madhouse

Looks like some sort of military response is on the way but earlier an Israeli woman decided to take the first step.

A Jewish Israeli woman was arrested by the Palestinians near Arafat`s Muqata in Ramallah and than handed over to the IDF. The woman, apparently a fruitcake, said she was going to the Muqata to have Yasser Arafat circumcised !?#

It’s likely though that Arafat as a Muslim is already circumcised so I wonder exactly how much did this woman want to cut.

BODY: So what’s now?

Amos Harel writes in Ha’aretz:

From the defense establishment's perspective, last night's suicide bombing in Jerusalem was deadly proof of how the Palestinians perceive the hudna. From their perspective, not only is the Palestinian Authority free of responsibility from any tangible action against the terror organizations, which are being allowed to continue building up their forces, but now they will exact an immediate price - many Israeli dead – for Israeli action: For every incident in which the IDF kills a wanted man, quick revenge will result.

Last night, even before an official announcement was released, it was easy to guess that Islamic Jihad would take responsibility for the attack after vowing that it would avenge the killing of its leader Mohammed Sidr in Hebron last week.

Israel's goal in the upcoming week will be to break these new rules of the game and prevent a situation in which every attempted arrest of a wanted man that goes wrong brings the burned buses back to the streets of the country's major cities.

The government's immediate response last night was to freeze the talks with the Palestinians over a withdrawal from four West Bank cities. But there is no certainty that the freeze will last very long. It is reasonable to assume that Israel will try to use the attack to enlist the U.S. administration to pressure Abu Mazen and Mohammed Dahlan to finally confront the organizations. And then, after a few days of contacts, with American mediation, the incentive for the Palestinians, in exchange for implementation of Dahlan's "90 day plan" for fighting terrorism, will be, after all, handing over the cities…

As I see it there should only be two options:
Option one is that Abu Mazen and Dahaln crack down, but really not faking it, on all the terror groups. And I don’t think the incentive for the Palestinians to act should be the handing of more cities. The incentive should be Israeli restraint.

If that doesn’t happen than option number two is to let the IDF hit the terror groups. And if so the military action must be more fiercest than any tactics used in the previous 3 years. For starter deporting Arafat and killing Hamas leader Ahmed Yassin.

I’m afraid that what will happen will be a strange combination of the two, i.e mild military response plus giving more credit to the PA that will only arrest a few terrorist for the press, only to release them a couple of days later. And busses will continue to explode.

BODY: At least 20 dead

Well that was expected. The beasts just couldn’t hold on anymore.

Looks like there are many children and babies in this hideous attack against innocent people. This Reuters video isn’t easy to watch. Filmed minutes after the attack it shows screaming children and dead people. If you don’t think you can handle it don’t watch. More photos over here.

It’s awfully depressing. It must be the end of the Hudna, I can’t see this one passing without a rightful Israeli retribution. I’m sorry, it’s late and I don’t have anymore to contribute right now.

BODY: Music 7

Staying with “Mizrahit music” here is a breezy song for the hot summer days. It’s Shlomi Shabbat's latest single: “BaHof Shel Trapattoni” (At Trapattoni’s Beach). I suspect that this song is also a translated from Greek.

Shlomi Shabbat’s albums can be purchased here.
